After David defeated Goliath, a priest told him to obtain the sword of the Palestine. Just as David was recovering the one and only sword of Goliath as his treasure, he came across a beast he had never heard of or seen before. It had the body of a lion and the face of a human, but facial features were in random places. The beast's mouth was moving on its face to be closer to where David moved, and the eyes too were moving in a way that made it easier for it to see where David was at. The beast's gnarly mane had fresh blood on it. David prayed and thought upon how far he had come, and was confident that he could prevail with God's help. The creature first raised one large paw in the air, hovering over David, with the appearance that it would come crashing upon him. The creature began to attack David, and he raised up the sword in defense as the beast began to leap at him. Just as the beast's face was in close enough range to consume David, he slashed the sword across its face and blinded it. While David had done this, the beast stumbled around in agony and bewilderment, blinded in one eye and unable to see clear enough to kill the could-be victim. David took this opportunity to attack the creature one last time, stabbing it right into the heart with his sword, and prevailed over the large creature.
This is why we do not see large lions with human faces and mustaches anymore...
